Wake Forest Road Sidewalk Project

We are dedicated to improving pedestrian connectivity in Raleigh.

As part of the of the City's Capital Improvement Program we are installing a 5-foot-wide sidewalk along the east side of Wake Forest Road, stretching from Hodges Street to Georgetown Road. The sidewalk will feature a curb setback varying between 2 to 4 feet. 


Adjustments to the sidewalk width and setback may be included in the final design to avoid significant impacts in certain areas as needed and determined by our Engineering staff.

The team completed the real estate negotiations, and the final plans are completed. The team is submitting the design plans for review.
