Discover Raleigh Arts

A division of the Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department, the City of Raleigh Arts Commission's myriad activities foster, support and promote the arts by focusing on five key areas:
- Arts Grants
- Public Art Program (temporary and permanent artworks)
- Block Gallery and Block2 Video Series
- Awards programs
- Community Outreach and Arts Resources
The Raleigh Arts office partnered with Americans for the Arts (AFTA) on the most comprehensive national study of the economic impact of the nonprofit arts and culture industry ever undertaken. AFTA’s report,
Arts and Economic Prosperity IV: The Economic Impact of Nonprofit Arts and Culture Organizations and Their Audiences in Raleigh
, offers compelling evidence that non-profit arts in Raleigh are a $143.5 million industry that supports almost 5,700 full-time equivalent jobs and generates $14.1 million in local and state government revenue.
Raleigh is in the midst of ongoing growth, and wonderful art of every type is being created for the public's enjoyment. We invite you to join us as we continue to shape the vision of transforming the "City of Oaks" into the "Creative Capital of the South."
