Glimpses of the Promised Land
Created by Mike Roig, this 20x20-foot steel sculpture is located in Chavis Park. Viewers seated on the bench of the sculpture can reflect on our land of promise as they gaze up into a swirling flock of steel birds - symbolizing freedom - alongside two Tuskegee airplanes.
Horizon Line
Created by Susan Harbage Page and Juan Logan with Peter Egan, Horizon Line employs sixteen striking 4x8-foot LED lighting panels to create two colorful, imaginative spaces for pedestrians entering and exiting City Plaza.
Immigrant Gate II
In remembrance of his family coming to America as Italian immigrants in the 1930s, Jim Gallucci created this 10x12-foot steel sculpture as a symbol of arriving and being welcomed into a rich new world full of opportunity. Immigrant Gate II is located at Millbrook Exchange Park.
Light Towers
Created by Jim Gallucci, these four 55-foot-high stainless steel and LED towers delineate City Plaza's public space and serve as welcoming beacons to City Plaza visitors.
Redbird
Created by Harry McDaniel and located in Fletcher Park, this 13x9-foot aluminum and steel sculpture gives the illusion of giant flowers swaying in the breeze, slowly revealing North Carolina's state bird, the cardinal.
Shimmer Wall
Created by Thomas Sayre and Ned Kahn of Clearscapes, this 9,284-square-foot work features light and dark aluminum square pixels that change shape and disappear as the squares flap in the wind on the side of the Raleigh Convention Center.

Basket in Open Space
Created by Jan Chenoweth, this 9x2.5-foot steel and painted concrete mixed media sculpture is located at One Exchange Plaza. Basket in Open Space was a part of the Downtown Raleigh Sculpture Expo (May 2003-April 2004).
Hedron
Created by Carl Billingsley, this 10.5x2.5-foot stainless steel sculpture is located on the Municipal Building Grounds at the intersection of Dawson and Morgan Streets. Hedron was a part of the Downtown Raleigh Sculpture Exposition (May 2003-April 2004).
Open Circle
Created by Roger Halligan, this 8x4-foot steel and pigmented concrete mixed media sculpture is located at Moore Square. Open Circle was a part of the Downtown Raleigh Sculpture Expo (May 2003-April 2004).
Pas de Chat
Created by Thomas Sayre, this 25x4-foot Mt. Airy granite sculpture is located at Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
Square Root of Two
Created by William Richardson, this 5x7.25-foot welded steel sculpture is located at Sertoma Art Center.
The Acorn
Created by David Benson, this 10-foot-tall 1250-lb. copper and steel sculpture was commissioned for the city's bicentennial in 1992. The Acorn is dedicated to John Watkins and can be found in Moore Square, except for First Night Raleigh, when it is dropped for New Year's Eve in the style of the ball drop at Times Square.
The Andy Griffith Show (Andy and Opie)
Created by Elliott and Ivan Schwartz, this 9x2.5-foot bronze sculpture was commissioned by TV Land in honor of North Carolina native Andy Griffith. This sculpture is the third in a series of TV Land commissioned landmarks. It can be found at Pullen Park with a duplicate located in Mt. Airy.
The Light + Time Tower
Created by Dale Eldred and Roberta Lloyd, this 40x6-foot mixed media sculpture in steel, glass, aluminum and diffraction grating marked the inaugural public art project of the Raleigh Arts Commission. Located at the median of Capital Boulevard at the Wade Avenue intersection, the brilliant colors of this sculpture are most visible on sunny mornings (when driving south towards downtown) and sunny afternoons (when driving north away from downtown).
