Optimist Community Center Closed for HVAC Renovations
Optimist Community Center (5900 Whittier Drive, Raleigh, NC, 27609) will close beginning on Wednesday, October 9 for an HVAC renovation project. The project is scheduled to take approximately 8 weeks to complete. During this time, you may contact Optimist Community Center Staff by phone at 919-870-2880 or by email at email@example.com.
Beltline Median Planters Winter Maintenance
Winter pruning and maintenance of the Beltline Median Planters will begin Monday, November 4 and take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Work will start at Yonkers Road and work west to Glen Eden Drive on the outer side, then move to the inner side and work back. The lane closest to the planters will be closed starting at 9:00am and re-open by 3:30pm daily. Work will not take place during inclement weather. Neuse River Trail
- The Neuse River Trail will be closed approximately 400' west of the Auburn-Knightdale Road Bridge beginning December 2nd, this section of trail will be closed through early February 2014. The parking lot at Auburn-Knightdale Road will remain open. This closure is due to a Public Utilities project on the force main adjacent to the bridge.
Crabtree Creek Trail
Crabtree Creek Trail between Raleigh Boulevard and Milburnie Road will have intermittent closures until January 2014 to accommodate the construction of the Crabtree Creek Wastewater System Conveyance Improvements Project Phase I.
- The trail from Raleigh Boulevard and Crabtree Boulevard will be closed through January 6th.
The Crabtree Creek Wastewater System Conveyance Improvements Project Phase I is the City's proactive approach to improving it's wastewater collection system along Crabtree Creek which carries nearly half of all wastewater generated by the City. Kaplan Drive Park Footbridge Closed
A footbridge along a walking trail in Kaplan Drive Park sustained damage from a fallen tree and had to be removed. Please use caution in this area - it will remain blocked until the bridge is replaced.
Marsh Creek Greenway Trail
Due to the replacement of the Marsh Creek sewer line by the City of Raleigh Public Utilities Department the eastern boundary of Brentwood Neighborhood Park will be impacted.
More specifically the portion of Marsh Creek Greenway trail that runs through Brentwood Neighborhood Park is expected to be closed from late June 2013 - December 31, 2013.

Kentwood Park Comfort Station Closed for Construction
Kentwood Park Comfort Station will be closed for construction from October 7, 2013 until January 2014. Kentwood Park is located at 4531 Kaplan Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606. Please call 919-996-4777 with questions regarding the project.
Roberts Park Community Center Renovation Information
Roberts Park Community Center will closed beginning Thursday, October 3 for an HVAC renovation project. The project is scheduled to take eight weeks to complete. During this time, you may contact Roberts Park Community Center staff at 919-831-6505.
Kingwood Forest Park Closure
Kingwood Forest Park, located at 2610 Evers Drive, will be closed October 7 through the end of October for demolition and construction of two new basketball courts.
Lake Wheeler - Boat Ramps Open
