Ongoing Opportunities

Deadheader at Raleigh Rose Garden

We are always looking for people who are interested in becoming a "Deadheader" (caregiver for the rose beds). All volunteers will be trained in the art of proper "deadheading" techniques. We ask that all Deadheaders volunteer a minimum of two hours per week per month. Volunteers are given rose beds to adopt and maintain from June - October.

Greeters at Greystone Recreation Center

If you are a friendly, outgoing individual who loves children, please consider becoming a greeter. Volunteers should be 18 or older and willing to provide outstanding customer service while greeting families. Volunteer based on your availability. Whether it's 1 day a week, we would love to have you!

9:00am - 11:00am | Mondays - Fridays | Days and hours are flexible
Greystone Recreation Center | 7713-55 Lead Mine Rd | 27615

Models at Sertoma

Looking for an exciting and easy way to pick up some volunteer hours? Sertoma Arts Center is looking for volunteers to be "live models" to pose for artists. All models will be fully clothed and must be 16 years or older. This is a great opportunity for high school and college students to get the necessary volunteer hours required by their schools and to assist the arts center. Models will also get to see the work created by the artist. Models can wear regular street clothes...anything from jeans to sweaters to dresses.

1:15pm - 4:30pm | Sundays
Sertoma Arts Center | 1400 W. Millbrook Road | 27612
