These program are adult oriented. Students age 14-15 must be accompanied by an adult.

Bikes are not provided, so bring a mountain bike and helmet.
Don't have your own rig? No problem, we can point you towards rentals in the area.

Bike Maintenance

Bike Maintenance

Stop paying for costly bike repairs that can be done on your own! Learn how to wrench on your bike for less than the cost of having flats changed for you! Participants of this course will learn tolook after the well being of your beloved bicycle. Road bikes, mountain bikes, comforts and cruisers - it doesn't matter - we will have you back on your ride lickety split. Bring your bike and wear clothes that can get dirty. This course is hands on learning at it's best.

Class Length: 3 hours

Course Content:

  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Change flat tires
  • Adjust Brakes
  • Adjust shifters
  • Pre-Ride Safety Inspection

Greenway Ride

Guide 'n' Ride: Greenway

You don't have to be an aggressive or 'extreme' rider to enjoy the biking Raleigh has to offer. In fact, with miles of paved trail close to home, Raleigh has one of the most bike-friendly greenways in the country. So let us help you take advantage of this great community asset and join us and learn the great spots to ride around town.

Class Length: Half Day Program

  • Navigating around Crabtree Creek Section of Greenway System

American Tobacco Trail

Guide 'N' Ride: American Tobacco Trail

You've ridden the Greenway here in Raleigh, now it's time to head a little further afield. The American Tobacco Trail winds its way through Durham, Chatham and Wake counties, passing through beautiful countryside, from wooded areas to protected game land. With a grade that's perfect for beginners, the American Tobacco Trail makes for a great ride and learning environment. So come join the Adventure Program today.

Umstead Guide 'n' Ride

Guide 'n' Ride: Umstead

You don't have to be an aggressive or 'extreme' twenty-something to enjoy mountain biking. In fact, in between riding the Greenway and riding single track, there are wide open multi-use trails at Umstead State Park to meet your outdoor needs. Find out why Umstead is a more reliable location to ride during the spring and the fall than its neighbor Crabtree County Park. As always bike shorts, 'extreme' energy drinks and bikes worth more than $1,000 are optional.
