For over twenty years, the Adventure Program has offered diverse summer camp opportunities. All programs differ in age, activity, length, benefits, and cost, yet they share a fun and supportive environment where students can challenge themselves and explore new worlds.
Seth Yearout, who has over 10 years of experience as an outdoor instructor, manages the Adventure Program. He is committed to the active management of risk associated with outdoor activities and provides technical support for high adventure activities such as climbing, whitewater paddling, ocean sailing, mountain biking, backpacking, and bike touring. Day-to-day camp supervision and activity programming is provided by qualified staff members who have completed 3 weeks of staff training. Staff-to-student ratios are reflective of the outdoor adventure industry.
Camps take place in a demanding environment, thus students must be able to function physically, cognitively, and behaviorally in a manner that supports everyone's safety. Additionally, students must gain approval from a physician for their chosen activities. All students expected to attend daily and come prepared since programming is a planned progression. Swimming skills are required due to the number of water related activities. Most equipment is provided with the exception of mountain bikes and sleeping bags. We hope you find a camp that meets your needs!
