Basketball Player

Raleigh Parks and Recreation offers a variety of athletic teams and leagues that focus on much more than winning they also teach the value of a fair game, sportsmanship, and teamwork.The Athletics Program is dedicated to providing quality athletic competition, instruction, and participation for youth and adults in Raleigh.
The Youth Athletics Program caters toward children ages 5-18 and provides numerous benefits from playing in organized leagues. Youth sports sponsored by the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department provide the opportunity for boys and girls to learn good sportsmanship and progressively develop skills.
The Adult Athletics Program provides a great opportunity to stay active, encourage social interaction and community involvement while providing a safe, fun, family atmosphere. Adult softball and kickball video.

  • January 9-20, Youth Lacrosse
  • February 13-24, Spring Baseball and Softball

  • July 9-13, Fall Baseball and Fastpitch Softball
  • July 23-27, Youth Tackle Football
  • July 23-27, Youth Cheerleading
  • October 1-12, Youth Basketball

Adult Athletics

  • January 2 - March 10, Run For The Oak
  • February 20 - 23, Spring Slowpitch Softball
  • April 9-12, Spring Kickball
  • July 16 - 19, Fall Slowpitch Softball
  • August 6 until full: Men's Fall Baseball
  • August 27-31, Co-ed Kickball
  • October 15-19, Basketball

All youth registrations are held at local community centers.
Adult registrations are held at the athletic office at 2401 Wade Avenue.
