Barwell Road Park and Community Center is one of the largest recreation centers.

Park Features | Map

The facility houses several unique rooms, air-conditioned gyms, dance room, fitness room and more. There is also a half mile walking trail for brisk walks or leisure strolls.

Fitness Room
Barwell Road offers a fitness room with three treadmills, two recumbent bikes, two ellipticals, a universal machine, dip machine and free weights. The fitness room offers a great workout opertunity in the community. Interested patrons may register for a daily pass or a 30 day membership.

Park Programs

The center offers a variety of programs to all ages through out the year. Programs may include Shotokan martial arts, youth step dance, photography programs, youth and adult art classes, athletic leagues, open play, and more.

Park Rentals

Barwell Road Community Center also offers a variety of spaces that can be reserved by the public for events from small baby showers to exciting birthday parties to beautiful wedding ceremonies. You may stop by during regular operating hours to see the spaces or call the center at 919-329-5994.

Athletic Programming for Youth

We are part of the District 2 Athletic District. We offer a variety of youth athletic leagues throughout the year including basketball, baseball, softball and football. Our athletic district also includes Green Road, Lions Park, Marsh Creek and Worthdale Community Centers.
