Durant Nature Park is located just a few miles north of I-540 right off of Capital Boulevard. We have spaces that are available to rent for events from wedding receptions to family reunions to youth and adult retreats. If you are interested in seeing any of the spaces, please contact our staff at (919) 870-2871 to set up a tour.

Policies and Procedures

Campbell Lodge

Damage Deposit (refundable) - $75
Application Fee (non-refundable) - $15
Alcohol Permit (non-refundable) - $50
Optional Dance Floor Rental - $200
2 hour minimum
To reserve space, renter must complete rental contract and make payment in full
Alcohol can be served on a limited basis with a required permit
Time must be included in rental for setup and clean up of event
Use of candles, luminaries or other flames of any kind is prohibited
200 folding chairs, 30 six-foot rectangle tables and 6 sixty inch round tables available for use
4 hour minimum for rentals on or after July 1, 2012

Sassfras Shelter

Available to rent between 9am and dusk
2 hour minimum
Alcohol strictly prohibited
Renter responsible for leaving shelter in same condition as it was found
Use of candles, luminaries or other flames of any kind is prohibited

Training Lodge

Lodge contains 22 bunk beds and 16 cots
Overnight rental fee includes the use of the campfire circle

Perfect for wedding receptions, family reunions or other large events
Exposed beams and stone details give facility a lodge-like feel
Outdoor entryway is lighted and covered
200 folding chairs, 30 six foot rectangular tables, 6 sixty inch round tables available
Alcohol can be served on a limited basis with a required permit
Reservations taken up to one year in advance

Campbell Lodge Kitchen

Included in Campbell Lodge rental price
Features include an icemaker, standard four burner range, microwave and walk-in refrigerator
Food may be warmed but not made from scratch
Caterers are welcome

Sassafras Picnic Shelter

Available to rent from 8am-dusk
Located near 12 acre lake, playground, large open playfield, restrooms and access to trailheads
Alcohol is NOT permitted
12 picnic tables and 1 charcoal grill
