Paint Your heART Out

People of all ages are invited to participate in the City of Raleigh's third annual Paint Your heART Out!, a valentines inspired arts and scholarship support program. The hands-on painting event takes place on Saturday, February 2 at Sertoma Arts Center. Two sessions will be offered, with both scheduled from 10:30 am to 2 pm.
"It is a great opportunity to spend time with your friends and family making art, displaying your art and giving back at the same time," said Sertoma Arts Center Director Jill Brown. "The City of Raleigh scholarship program is available to qualifying persons of all ages in need of financial assistance to register and participate in any of the City of Raleigh recreation programs."
At Paint Your heART Out!:
- Each person will get the opportunity to create an original valentines inspired masterpiece on canvas using paint and other materials on site.
- Each art piece will then be displayed at Sertoma Arts Center as February's gallery exhibit. Participants can pick up their artwork after the exhibit ends. Pickup dates will be announced the day of the event.
A minimum donation of $6 per person is required to participate in Paint your heART out! For donations above the minimum, call Sertoma Arts Center at or include a note on your registration. All donations go toward the scholarship fund of the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department.
Participants in Paint Your heART Out! are urged to pre-register online through RecLink. Registration also will be available the day of the event at Sertoma Arts Center. The following is registration information for Paint your heART out!:
