Solar Thermal - Green Building Training Program

The Office of Sustainability is partnering with Wake Technical College to offer a free Solar Thermal Installer Course. Accredited by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC), Solar Thermal's Curriculum is based on the North American Board of Certified Energy Practioner (NABCEP) Solar Thermal Job Task Analysis. Taught by a certified NABCEP Solar Thermal Installer, the course will provide hands-on trainng, exercises, and labs. Students will gain a complete understanding of site evaluation tools, necessary measurements and calculations, and the specific system components essential to complete a fully functioning Solar Heating and Cooling system installation.
