  • Code Green - Indicates open fields
  • Code Yellow - Indicates fields status will be an on site decision
  • Code Red - Indicates closed fields

Field Status- Code Green

Field status is Code Green which indicates that fields are open. Except Jaycee field 1, 2 & 3 are Code Yellow which indicates that field usage is an on-site decision.

Marsh Creek Skate Park Closed for Repairs

Marsh Creek Skate Park will be closed Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7 for repair work. Regular skate park hours are anticipated to resume Monday, September 8. Please contact Marsh Creek Community Center at 919-996-4920 for additional information or questions.

Sertoma Arts Center Closure

Sertoma Arts Center will be closed September 1-4 for building maintenance.

Millbrook Exchange Community Center Closed for Improvements

Millbrook Exchange Community Center will be closed beginning August 25, 2014 for center improvements. The anticipated reopening will be in November. Please visit our project page with improvement information.

Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve Closed for Construction

Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve will be closed beginning August 18, 2014 through March 2015 while Phase 1 renovations to the park and access road are being made. Neuse River Trail access to and from the park be will also be closed during this time. There are several available parking lots for access to the Neuse River Trail between Horseshoe Farm Park and Buffaloe Road Athletic Park including lots at - 200 Trailhead Lane, 4901 Elizabeth Dr and 5812 Buffaloe Rd (Buffalo Road Athletic Park).

Phase 1 construction will include the paving of Horse Shoe Farm Road, paved trail connection from the park to the Neuse River Trail, restrooms, picnic shelter and interior interpretive walking trails.

Boat Ramps Open

Attention Boaters Lake Wheeler water levels have returned to normal levels. All ramps are open for boat launches. For more information or the most up to date status please contact Lake Wheeler Park 919-662-5704.

Access to the Glen Eden Tennis Courts off Blue Ridge Road is Closed for Construction

Access to the Glen Eden tennis courts off of Blue Ridge Road is closed for construction. The tennis courts are still open. Access to the tennis courts is available by parking at the Glen Eden Community Center (off Glen Eden Dr.) and walking the trail to get there. The closure is anticipated to end on July 25th.

Lake Lynn Park Picnic Shelter Construction to Disrupt Playground Access

Starting Tuesday, May 6, 2014 Lake Lynn Park will be undergoing construction to build a picnic shelter behind the community center. The project may take up to two months to complete. During portions of the project, access to the playground and bocce ball courts may be limited. Patrons can call the community center at 919-870-2911 to ensure the playground and bocce ball courts are open for use.

Kaplan Drive Park Footbridge Closed

A footbridge along a walking trail in Kaplan Drive Park sustained damage from a fallen tree and had to be removed. Please use caution in this area - it will remain blocked until the bridge is replaced.
