Holiday Hours for May 30, 2016
Please note the Holiday Schedule for May 30.
Community Centers, Neighborhood Centers, Active Adult Centers, Art Centers, Annie Louise Wilkerson Nature Preserve, Historic and Museum Facilities, Saint Monica's Teen Center and the Walnut Creek Wetland Center will be closed.
Millbrook Tennis Center, Durant Nature Preserve, Horseshoe Farm Nature Preserve,Lakes and Amusements will be open.
Lake Johnson and Ridge Road pools will operate a normal schedule.
Millbrook, Optimist and Pullen will open at 10:00 a.m.
Tree Limb Removal
The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department will be removing a limb from a large oak tree at Nash Square on Tuesday, May 31 starting at 7:30 am. The removal should be completed by the end of the day. The tree is located on the west side of Martin Street across from the Berkley Café. The tree is being pruned in an effort to improve weight balance and to help prolong the life of the tree. For information please contact Anthony McLamb at 919-996-4115.
Laurel Hills Playground Closed for Renovation Beginning September 14, 2015
On May 5, 2015 Raleigh City Council approved the schematic design for the Sassafras All Children’s Playground at Laurel Hills Park and authorized City staff to proceed with construction documents and construction. The project is anticipated to be completed in early Summer 2016. For information and to stay up to date on the Sassafras All Children’s Playground at Laurel Hills Park visit the project page. We invite you to keep playing at one of our other playground locations.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Gardens Expansion
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Gardens will be closed from January 2016 through early Fall 2016 for construction during the expansion project.
Pullen Park Amusements
The Pedal Boats at Pullen Park Amusements will be open 7 days a week starting Tuesday, May 3.
