Geographic Digital Data Services

The following geographic digital data management services are provided to city employees and the general public by the Geographic Information Services (GIS) division of the Information Technology Department.

• Geographic Data Management - the GIS division manages the enterprise GIS database which contains hundreds of layers of information including buildings, parks, administrative boundaries, zoning and aerial imagery to name just a few.
• Raleigh Geoportal - a one-stop source for geospatial digital data, services and information, the GeoPortal can be used to search, discover, view, access and download the City's geospatial resources. More information...
• Digital Data Download - a selection of popular geographic data is made available for download by the GIS division. More information...
• Standard Digital Data - the GIS division provides a collection of standard digital data CDs or DVDs for a minimal fee. More information...
• Custom Digital Data - the GIS division provides custom digital data sets to the general public on an hourly fee basis if their needs cannot be met by any of the previous methods. More information...

The GIS office is located at 1 Exchange Plaza, Suite 807 in downtown Raleigh. Office hours are Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.
