Optimist Pool

Optimist Pool was renovated in 2009 by converting the pool enclosure from a air supported bubble to a fabric tension structure. The old bath house has been replaced with a new, up to date facility including spacious locker rooms and a classroom.

The Optimist Pool complex features a 50 meter x 25 yard Olympic size swimming pool, a diving well with low and high diving boards, and a large baby pool. A structure encloses the main pool to provide for year-round use. The facility offers lap and recreational swimming, water exercise programs, a city swim league, swim clinics, and American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim lessons, lifeguard training, and instructor-level classes. It hosts several large-scale swimming competitions during the year.
