Lake Johnson Park - General Information

Lake Johnson Park is composed of a 150+ acre lake and 300+ acres of land surrounding the lake. The lake/park offers boating, picnic shelters, concessions, facility rentals, greenway trails, and a vast array of classes, special events and recreational opportunities for the entire family. Lake Johnson has 3.5 miles of paved greenway trails and 1.9 miles of unpaved trails.

Lake Johnson is great for fishing; largemouth bass, shell cracker, crappie, bream, catfish, and carp are all found in Lake Johnson. Come out and start your adventure today!

Biking is prohibited on unpaved trails.

Hours of Operation:

Lake Johnson Park is open daily, dawn to dusk.
Closed on Mondays from October - March.
Classes, programs, and special events may lengthen hours.

Lake Johnson Park will be closed on the following days:

  • New Year's Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
