Project Update, Posted Oct. 19
Both sides of the roadway are currently seeing construction activity with the installation of water and sanitary sewer mains, storm drains, and curb and gutter. There is a significant amount of rock along the corridor, and blasting operations have been and may continue to be required at different locations to facilitate the installation of underground pipes, manholes, and catch basins.
The contractor installed the first section of the new box culvert at the intersection of Forestville Road and is scheduled to start the installation of the second half of the culvert at the beginning of the new year. The north section of Forestville Road at the intersection of Mitchell Mill Road is required to be closed while the second half of the culvert is installed. The City will send out more details as the new year approaches.
