Raleigh to Observe Memorial Day

[Alert]News posted May 16, 2017 - 9:00 am

The City of Raleigh’s administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. Emergency police, fire and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1.

Because no collections are done on Mondays, there is no change to the collection of garbage, recycling and yard waste. The City’s Yard Waste Center will be closed on Memorial Day, but will operate on a regular schedule the remainder of the week.

GoRaleigh will operate bus service on a Saturday schedule on Memorial Day. GoTriangle buses are not running on the holiday but will resume regular service on May 30. For more information on bus schedules, visit or contact 919-485-7433.
