In 2016, stormwater volunteers collected 6,000 pounds of trash from Raleigh’s waterways. These efforts not only improve the water quality of local streams, lakes, and rivers, they also play an essential role in preserving stream health and aquatic life.

Help make a difference in 2017! Become a volunteer with the Stormwater Management Division by participating in the Adopt-a-Stream and Foster-a-Stream programs; the Storm Drain Marking Program; and the Stream Monitoring Program.
