Business‐type Activities

The City has previously issued debt associated with the Solid Waste Services function.  These include certificates of 

participation that carry fixed interest rates of 4.0% to 5.0% (solid waste transfer station),  limited obligation bonds 

that carry fixed coupon interest rates from 3.0% to 5.57% and a variable rate agreement that had an interest rate of 

0.42% at June 30, 2016 (design and construction of remote operations center).

Business‐type Activities

The City has previously issued certificates of participation and master installment financing agreements to fund 

separate internal service funds for the purchase of rolling stock equipment for governmental and business‐type 

activities.  The debt issues carry fixed interest rates ranging from 0.90% to 1.75%.   Principal and interest 

requirements for these debt issues will be provided by appropriation in the year they become due.
