Before there was a Forest Ridge Park or Falls Lake, there were American Indian hunting grounds, a thoroughfare of colonial settlements, a tobacco plantation and final resting places. Come learn, engage and explore the surviving cultural and historical resources within Forest Ridge Park on this two-hour educational and recreational program led by staff qualified in history and cultural heritage. We will be using bikes to visit several cultural heritage sites around the park. Please bring your own helmet and bike appropriate for gravel trails. While any fitness level is permitted, a small amount of strenuous activity is expected.
