Join our staff for a challenging program of indoor rock climbing at one of the Triangle’s modern rock gyms. Instructors will focus on teaching concepts associated with belaying and will provide adequate practice to develop skills. By the end of the class, participants will be ready to take any climbing center belay test, a skill that is necessary in most climbing situations. Equipment, instruction, transportation and plenty of climbing opportunities will be provided. We will meet at the Forest Ridge Park Welcome Center before heading to the gym. Need something for your middle-schooler to do this spring break? The Adventure Program’s Spring Bike Week is a fun way to see all the trails and greenways our city has to offer. We will be on the go all day, riding from park to park and learning about biking, bike maintenance and the opportunities to ride in Raleigh. An overnight camping experience will take place Thursday night, returning at normal pickup time Friday. Drop-off time is 8:00-8:30am, and pick- up time is 5:00-5:30pm. Please be sure your child is on time as we depart daily at 8:30am. Cycling experience is required as we will be riding several miles each day. Participants must supply their own bike and helmet, a lunch, two snacks and a reusable water bottle each day. Campout equipment list will be provided upon registration. Questions? Pool sessions are open practice times for all levels of paddlers, whether you’re working on playboating, perfecting your roll or just wanting to try out the sport. Formal instruction is not provided, but a brief, basic boat orientation is available for beginners. So take advantage of the warm water at the pool and practice your paddling!
