Part 10A: Unified Development Ordinance City of Raleigh, North Carolina 7 – 41 Effective Date: September 01, 2013 Supp. No. 4 Article 7.3. ​​Signs | CHAPTER 7. ​GENERAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS Sec. 7.3.15. ​​Prohibited Signs to an event or purpose which no longer applies shall be deemed abandoned. An abandoned sign is prohibited and shall be removed by the owner of the sign or the owner or tenant of the premise. M. Signs attached to, painted on, or otherwise positioned (whether exterior or interior) in or on an inoperable or unlicensed vehicle (motorized or non- motorized) located in view of the right-of-way. N. Signs attached to, painted on, or otherwise positioned in or on a licensed vehicle that is located in view of the street right-of-way when in a location or for a period of time that indicates that the use of the vehicle is for displaying the sign to passing motorists or pedestrians, except that such signs are allowed on a temporary basis in association with a temporary event permit. O. Any sign unlawfully erected or maintained.
