Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Commission

The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission is an all-volunteer advisory body, appointed by the City Council to provide guidance and leadership on all matters concerning bicycle and pedestrian activities and accommodation in Raleigh. BPAC members are responsible for making recommendations on the implementation of relevant programs, policies, regulations, and funding priorities regarding walking and cycling in the City of Raleigh.

Established to promote public outreach for bicycle and pedestrian oriented involvement for recreational and educational opportunities.

Members: Mike Dayton- Chair, Corey Bates, Aaron Peeler, Dr. Linda Butler

Next Meeting: Wednesday, July 10 at 5:30 p.m. at New City Design Offices, 1304 Hillsborough St.

Established to promote bicycle oriented development. The committee will be playing an active role in the development of the City's new Development Code to ensure that multi-modal transportation elements are addressed.

Members: Charlotte Mitchell- Chair, Sig Hutchinson, Alan Wiggs

Meeting Schedule: The second Monday of every month unless otherwise specified

Established to promote pedestrian oriented development, including in mixed-use infill and retail opportunities. The committee will be playing an active role in the development of the City's new Development Code to ensure that multi-modal transportation elements are addressed.

Meeting Schedule: The second Tuesday of every month

Next Meeting: Tuesday, July 9 at 1pm in Room 303 of the Raleigh Municipal Building, 222 Hargett Street

The Joint Bicycle & Pedestrian Planning Committee will meet on a monthly basis as need depending on agenda items that coincide.
