Sustainable Raleigh Map

The Sustainable Raleigh Map was created to highlight the numerous initiatives related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, environmental conservation, and sustainability throughout the City. Projects include:

  • electric vehicles (EV)
  • electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS)
  • solar water heaters
  • photovoltaic projects
  • rainwater harvesting
  • green roofs
  • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified buildings
  • LED (Light Emitting Diodes) lights

The Sustainable Raleigh Map not only highlights projects that have been completed by the City, but also a whole host of community stakeholders including businesses and local universities. Each icon on the map represents a different type of project with some brief supplementary information.

So what have you or your organization done? The City of Raleigh is interested in hearing about your project and how you are addressing the issues of energy, environment, and sustainability. Either directly e-mail the City at Sustainable.Raleigh@raleighnc.govEmail Address, or complete the comments box available directly on the map page. For consistency, please include project name, type, completion date, location, size, projector contractor or installer, and pictures as well as any other information you feel is important. The City will make every effort to verify all submission and all projects may not be mapped.

The Sustainable Raleigh map will be updated periodically with the growth of these projects. Please check back for more information about how a sustainable project may be added to the map. For further information you may contact the Office of Sustainability. To view the map click: Sustainable Raleigh Map.
