Minimum Requirements

5 years experience in directing a full compliment of benefit-based leisure programs as well as facility management. Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Education or related field. Experience and knowledge of sports organization, camps, computer operations and use of software packages. Experience in customer service and excellent demonstrated skills. Organizational and multi-tasking skills and attention to detail required. Must be available to work nights and weekends. Knowledge of facility maintenance and observation of items and /or areas needing repair, replacement or immediate attention. A Valid NC Class "C" Drivers License required.

Position Duties

Supervises two full-time employees and numerous part time and seasonal staff. Develops programs, camps, athletic programs and special events for the Millbrook Exchange community and the entire city. Manages a large, diverse community park. Researches potential program offerings and trends to bring new and unique ideas to the department. Actively recruits, hires, trains, directs and supervises part time staff, instructors and volunteers. Maintains budgets, records and prepares reports as required. Performs other duties as required.
