This is a part-time, temporary position which provides assistance to a participant or participants with special needs, in a typical program.
Position Hours: 10-36 hours per week. Schedule typically runs M-F within the hours of 7:30am-6:30pm, but may vary. Position will assist at the various programs listed below (but are not limited to these):
- Summer Camp, June 11 - August 17, 2012: 7:30am - 6:00pm
- Track Out 1, 2, 3, and 4 at Barwell Road, Brier Creek, Lake Lynn and Marsh Creek: 7:30am - 6:00pm.
- Before School Xpress at various sites: 7:00am - 9:00am
- After School Xpress at various sites: 2:00am - 6:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Implement the Inclusion Plan for the participant(s)
- Help staff make accommodations or modifications to the program
- Assist the participant to engage in all activities
- Share knowledge or recommendations with site staff
- Be positive, alert, and actively engaged in the program or activity
- Allow the participant(s) to develop independence and self-sufficiency
- Communicate with parents, other counselors, and supervisors about the observed needs/behaviors of the participant(s)
- Identify any needs, questions, or concerns and communicate these with Inclusion Coordinator
