Lake Wheeler Boat Ramps

Attention Boaters Lake Wheeler water levels are normal. For more information or the most up to date status please call Lake Wheeler Staff at 919-662-5704.

Historic Attractions Ride Closures

The Chavis Carousel will be closed for annual maintenance January 16 -17, 2016.

The Pullen Park Carousel will be closed for annual maintenance January 7-17, 2016.

The Pullen Park Train and Kiddie Boats will be closed for annual maintenance January 19-29, 2016.

The Pedal Boats are closed for the winter season and will reopen in late March.

Multi-purpose Fields Unavailable

The following multi-purpose fields are unavailable due to renovations:

The multi-purpose field at Williams Park is closed through September 30.

The multi-purpose field #2 at Kiwanis Park is closed through March 1, 2016.

Laurel Hills Playground Closed for Renovation Beginning September 14, 2015

On May 5, 2015 Raleigh City Council approved the schematic design for the Sassafras All Children’s Playground at Laurel Hills Park and authorized City staff to proceed with construction documents and construction. The project is anticipated to be completed in early Summer 2016. For information and to stay up to date on the Sassafras All Children’s Playground at Laurel Hills Park visit the project page. We invite you to keep playing at one of our other playground locations.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Gardens Expansion

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Gardens will be closed from January 2016 through early Fall 2016 for construction during the expansion project.
