Capital Area Greenway
As a result of recent rainfall, trails or trail sections of the Capital Area Greenway may be closed. For your safety, please do not enter any closed sections of greenway trail. The City of Raleigh will work diligently to repair damage and re-open damaged trails as soon as possible.
River Access Points
City of Raleigh river access points along the Neuse River are closed due to high water conditions. Please continue to monitor this website for river access status.
Lake Johnson - Lake Wheeler Waterfront Operations
Lake Johnson and Lake Wheeler will be open again for private launches and boat rentals starting 4/27/2016.

Pullen Park Train - Accessibility
The handicap accessible car on the Pullen Park train will be unavailable April 30 - May 2 due to scheduled annual maintenance.
Jaycee Park Improvements
Jaycee Park Re-Paving Project
Phase one work involving the demolition and re-paving of the parking lot in front of the Frank Evans building is now complete. Phase two work will begin Monday, March 20. Phase two will involve the demolition and re-paving of the service road between Frank Evans Administration Office and the Jaycee Softball Field #1. All offices will remain open. City of Raleigh Recycling Station will be located temporarily near Jaycee Field #3 with access from Tower St. We expect the project to be completed and open for use by mid May 2017-weather pending.
Greenway Repairs and Closures
As greenways trails and structures age, maintenance and repairs are necessary. Due to the nature of this work, the trails will occasionally need to be closed to complete this work in an safe and efficient manner.
