Anderson Point Cottage Information

The enchanting historic Anderson Family Homestead is a wonderful place for weddings, wedding receptions, small conferences, family reunions and other special events. The exposed beams and all wood interior take you back to a slower placed time. The open floor plan is conducive to mingling cocktail parties, intimate rehearsal dinners or fun baby showers.

The floor plan includes a foyer area with men's and women's restrooms, one large room (dimension: 24 feet x 29 feet) with double doors leading to the back porch, a small conversation area, a dinning nook that is often used for the buffet line, and an upstairs private room which is great for a bridal changing area. The cottage also contains a full size kitchen with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, and sink. There are 60 folding chairs, 12 six foot rectangular tables, and one square card table is available. The tables and chairs may be used inside of the cottage and on the porch.

The cottage holds a maximum of 70 people, 50 seated. The capacity is based on the set up of the event.

Additional Rental Information

  • The cottage is available to rent daily between 8 am and 11 pm, with a minimum of four hours. Reservations may be made a year in advance. In order to reserve the space, the renter must fill out the rental contract and make full payment.
  • Alcoholic beverages can be served on a limited basis with a required permit and permit fee. No liquor is allowed on the premises. All alcoholic beverages must stay at the cottage and may not be in other areas of the park.
  • A shuttle is available to transport the rental group from the parking lot to the cottage. The shuttle is a handicap accessible, extended club car that holds approximately 4 people.
  • The renter is responsible for setting up the event and cleaning up. The renter is expected to leave the cottage in the condition it was at the start of the rental.
  • The use of candles, luminaries or other flames of any kind are strictly prohibited.

*The cottage non-resident rental fee is effective as of January 18, 2012 for cottage rentals that occur on or after July 1, 2012.
