Programs
Find an array of nature programs for all ages in the Leisure LedgerAdobe Acrobat PDF Document. There are several summer camps that meet at the park including Camp Ranoca North, Camp Ranoca Challenge, Camp Friendly and Adventure Camp. Register on-line for programs and camps with RecLink.

Trails
Five miles of trails explore the park's 237-acres. Hike along a stream, through hardwood and pine forests, past wildflowers and ferns, through wetlands and alongside two lakes. Mountain Biking is allowed on designated trails when trail surface is dry. You can also access the Greenway trail from the North parking lot

Playground
Featuring swings, slides, sand play area, and other play equipment. Visit the playground near a large open playing field, basketball court, volleyball court, picnic shelter, and restroom building. This is the perfect spot to play with the entire family. Play area is located a short walk from the north entrance’s parking lot.

Lakes
Wet a line and let the scenery cast your cares away. Fishing on either the lower lake or more remote upper lake is allowed from our boathouse dock or the bank. N.C. Fish and Wildlife laws apply. The park also participates in the Tackle Loaner Program in partnership with the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commission. Stop by the Park Office during office hours to fill out an application. Once registered, you can borrow a fishing rod, however we do not provide the bait.

Wildlife Watching
A variety of habitats in the park provide wonderful wildlife viewing. Visit the Bird Garden anytime of the year for guaranteed birding (park bird list). We recommend July – September for a visit to the interpreted Butterfly Garden. Waterfowl, turtles, and fish can be seen at both lakes. Evidence of many mammals can be found along the creek banks and trails.
