Capital Area Transit Bus Route 1 - Capital  

Outbound from Downtown  

From the Red Zone in Moore Square Transit Station turn left on Hargett Street, right on Wilmington Street, right on Peace Street, left on Person Street which becomes Wake Forest Road, exit right onto Automotive Way which becomes Capital Boulevard continuing north across Spring Forest Road, turn right on Sumner Boulevard and left into Triangle Town Center serving the stops near the entrance to the mall and in the parking lot near Sumner Blvd. The connection point with Route 25c Triangle Town Center and the WFX is the stop near Sumner Boulevard.

Inbound towards Downtown  

From Triangle Town Center turn right on Sumner Boulevard, left on Capital Boulevard, exit right onto Old Louisburg Road, turn left on Wake Forest Road, which becomes Delway Street and merges into Blount Street, continue south on Blount Street, cross Peace Street, turn right on Martin Street and right into Moore Square Station.

CAT Connectors  

The Route 24c North Cross-town and Route 25c Triangle Town Center connectors are on their own brochures and follow fixed schedules with timed connections to Route 1 Capital. Shaded times in the schedule highlight when Route 24c and Route 1 meet at Capital and Spring Forest and when Route 25c and Route 1 meet at Triangle Town Center.

Extended Service  

Route 1 Capital operates

• Monday - Saturday from 5:45 AM - Midnight
• Sundays from 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM.

Route 26 Early East covers portions of the route from 4:30 AM - 5:30 AM on weekdays.

Regional Service  

Passengers can make connections at Triangle Town Center Mall to the regional Wake Forest Express (WFX) route.
