Capital Area Transit Bus Route 7 - South Saunders

Capital Area Transit (CAT) Route 7 Serves the following areas:

  • Tryon Hills Shopping Center
  • Super K-Mart
  • Super Wal-Mart
  • Carnival Shopping Center

Outbound from Downtown

Route starts in Zone C (Yellow) at Moore Square Transit Station and basically travels South.  Leaving Moore Square Transit Station the bus turns RIGHT on Blount Street, RIGHT on Davie Street, RIGHT on Dawson Street, RIGHT on Lenoir Street, LEFT on South Saunders Street traveling past Maywood Avenue and the Beltline, LEFT on Pecan Street, RIGHT on South Wilmington Street, RIGHT into Super K-Mart, RIGHT back onto 401, RIGHT on Purser Drive, and ends at Super Wal-Mart.

Inbound to Downtown

From Super Wal-Mart, RIGHT on Rupert Drive, LEFT on Garner Station Boulevard, crosses US401 and US70, LEFT on the Wilmington Street Service Road, LEFT on Chapanoke Road, RIGHT on Wilmington Street, RIGHT on Illeagnes Road, LEFT on Wilmington Street, LEFT on Pecan Road, RIGHT on South Saunders Street, RIGHT on South Street, LEFT on McDowell Street, RIGHT on Martin Street, LEFT into Moore Square Transit Station to Zone C (Yellow).

Extended Service and catConnectors

7c Carolina Pines catconnector

The route 7c Carolina Pines catconnector is on its own brochure, follows a fixed schedule and functions as a cross-town connector with timed connections to the Route 7 South Saunders bus.  Passengers may board and travel anywhere along the catconnector route or may transfer directly to the Route 7 South Saunders bus.  Transfers are made on Pecan at Wilmington  Shaded times in the schedule highlight when the 7c Carolina Pines and the 7 South Saunders bus meet.
