Arts Grants

City of Raleigh Arts Grant Program

  • Official vehicle for municipal support to the city's arts organizations in Raleigh
  • operating since 1989
  • Distributing over $18 million dollars
  • One way City Council shows their dedication to the cultural development of Raleigh
  • Grants funding is currently supported by a $4.50 per capita allocation

Community Enhancement Grant

Community Enhancement Grant

  • Given each year to nonprofit and faith-based organizations to build human capacity within blighted or low- and moderate-income areas.
  • Funds for this program are given through the federal Community Development Block Grant program.
  • Applicants are judged based on the soundness of the program proposal, fiscal responsibility of the organization, the mission and track record of the organization, and other program requirements.

Human Services Agency Funding

City of Raleigh Human Services Agency Funding Program

  • Awards grants annually to nonprofit organizations
  • Provides services for the elderly, youth, persons with handicaps or disabilities, substance abusers and homeless individuals

Neighborhood Improvement Funds

Neighborhood Improvement Funds Program

  • Awarded to neighborhood organizations and groups in Raleigh
  • May receive up to $1,000 from the City
  • Projects that strengthen and improve neighborhoods and enhance a sense of community
