Drop Off Centers for Recycling

Last Modified: March 30, 2012

The City of Raleigh partners with property owners in many instances and in some cases locates recycling drop off centers on city property in city parks or operations centers. Recycling drop-off centers are for use by Raleigh residents and small businesses. The number of sites available throughout the city is dependent on community businesses and churches willing to partner with the city and offer space on their property to host the recycling containers needed to collect the materials. Any business, church, group, or property owner with available space should contact Raleigh Raleigh at 919-996-6890 to determine if an arrangement can be worked out where they can give back to their community and do their part in this manner.

The sites are open twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week unless otherwise noted below.

Note: Aluminum cans and plastic bottles (except motor oil and pesticide bottles) are banned from disposal in all NC landfills. Corrugated cardboard is subject to Wake County fines if disposed of in the Wake County landfill. Please Recycle!

Please be courteous:

Do not leave any garbadge, trash or yard waste at the Drop off Centers

They are provided for recyclable materials ONLY. Garbage and trash may be taken to one of Wake County's Convenience Centers. Yard waste may be taken to the city's Yard Waste Center.

Leaving unacceptable materials at the recycling drop off centers potentially contaminates the recyclable materials and adds considerable expense to the program since we must collect it, transport it, and pay to dispose of it at the county landfill. It also puts the recycling drop off center at risk as we partner with the property owner and when trash is left it becomes unsightly.
