City Offices to Close July 4 for Independence Day Holiday; Trash Collection Pushed Back One Day

The City of Raleigh’s administrative offices will be closed Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. Emergency police, fire and rescue services may be reached by calling 9-1-1.

The collection of garbage, recycling and yard waste will be pushed back one day later than normal during the week of July 3 due to the holiday. Tuesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday, July 5; Wednesday’s routes will be collected on Thursday, July 6; Thursday’s routes will be collected on Friday, July 7; and Friday’s routes will be collected on Saturday, July 8.

The City’s Yard Waste Center will be closed on July 4, but will operate on a regular schedule the remainder of the week.

GoRaleigh will operate bus service on a Sunday schedule on Independence Day. GoTriangle buses and express routes operated by GoRaleigh are not running on July 4. Both GoRaleigh and GoTriangle will resume regular service on July 5.
