Raleigh Rolls Out The 'Blue' Carpet In Preparation For September's World of Bluegrass

While the World of Bluegrass is still five months away, that doesn't mean the Greater Raleigh hospitality community, City of Raleigh, numerous event venues and performing arts organizations are waiting to share their enthusiasm.

In preparation for the September 24-28, 2013, World of Bluegrass Week, more than 165 members of the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) community, including the organization's Board of Directors will travel to Raleigh this weekend, April 12-14, to experience many of the sights and venues that will play a key role during the week-long convention, International Bluegrass Music Awards show and Wide Open Bluegrass Fan Fest.

World of Bluegrass is the annual industry summit / bluegrass family
reunion drawing fans, artists and music industry professionals from around the world for the week-long event. World of Bluegrass provides opportunities for showcasing, professional development and networking at the largest concentrated week of powerful, live bluegrass music on the planet.

Media is invited to attend any of the World of Bluegrass Preview Weekend activities. IBMA Board of Directors, members and staff from the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau and Raleigh Convention Center will be on hand for interviews.
