Cameron Street Resurfacing to Begin June 28

As part of the City of Raleigh’s street resurfacing project, road work will take place on Cameron Street from Oberlin Road to the Broughton High School property from June 28 until July 31, weather permitting.

The work will take place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists can expect traffic delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The Raleigh City Council on March 7 approved a $7,107,535 bid from Barnhill Contracting Company for the annual street resurfacing contract. City of Raleigh maintained streets that have curb and gutter are included in the annual resurfacing program. The City maintains 1,090 miles of streets. Typically, the streets that are in the worst condition are scheduled for the resurfacing program each year.
