Raleigh Fire Station #6 Closing for Renovations; No Impacts for Protection Expected

Beginning today Raleigh Fire Station #6, 2601 Fairview Road, will be closed for renovations. Construction is anticipated to take a minimum of 14 months. During this closure, Fire Station #6 will be demolished and rebuilt with a two company station.

During the closure, Engine #6 has been relocated to Fire Station #5, 300 Oberlin Road. The Emergency Communication Center has adjusted the dispatch for all surrounding fire companies and no impacts for fire protection are expected. Engines 9, 16, 5, 14, 1, and 6 will provide fire protection services.
