Traffic Alert: New Hope Church Road Street Resurfacing

As part of the City of Raleigh’s street resurfacing project, road work will take place on two sections of New Hope Church Road beginning April 17, 2017 until May 19, 2017, weather permitting. One section is from the RR crossing to Green Road and the other is from Deana Lane to Capital Boulevard.

The work will take place Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Motorists can expect traffic delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The Raleigh City Council, on March 7, approved the $7,107,535 bid from Barnhill Contracting Company for the annual street resurfacing contract. City of Raleigh maintained streets that have curb and gutter are included in the annual resurfacing program. The City maintains 1090 miles of streets. Typically, the streets that are in the worst condition are scheduled for the resurfacing program each year.
