Stormwater Pipe Replacement Work Postponed Due to Expected Rain


The City of Raleigh is postponing until next month replacing a stormwater pipe at the intersection of Cameron and Daniels streets. The work was supposed to be done this weekend but is being delayed due to forecasted rain.

The work now is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on May 7 and last until May 8 at 6 a.m. To accommodate the project, Cameron Street will be closed from Oberlin Road to Woodburn Road next to Cameron Village shopping center. Also to close will be a section of Daniels Street that accesses parking lots on either side of Cameron Street.

Traffic Alert: Sections of Cameron and Daniels Street to Close Beginning Sunday

The City of Raleigh is closing Cameron Street from Oberlin Road to Woodburn Road next to the Cameron Village shopping center beginning at 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 9. Also to close will be a section of Daniels Street that accesses parking lots on either side of Cameron Street.

The streets are being closed to accommodate replacement of a stormwater pipe at the intersection of Cameron Street and Daniels Street. The streets are scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. on Monday, April 10.

In case of inclement weather, the work and accompanying street closures will be postponed to start at 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, and last until 6 a.m. on Monday, April 24.
