City of Raleigh Wins Workfront Lion Award
The City of Raleigh Information Technology Department’s Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) has received a 2016 Workfront Lion Award for optimizing processes the City uses to implement technology projects.
The EPMO implemented Workfront, a cloud-based enterprise work management tool, to improve how the organization tracks projects and communicates with project stakeholders. The project management team focused on standardizing processes to provide outcomes that are more predictable when the City implements new technology.
“Managing multiple enterprise-wide technology projects can get complicated,” said Patrick Mallory, project management director for the Information Technology Department. “Workfront allows Raleigh’s project teams to communicate and access project information. Workfront has improved productive collaboration for project team members who are dispersed throughout Raleigh.”
The City of Raleigh was the only municipal government among the 2016 award winners. The categories and winners of the second annual Workfront Lion Awards are:
- All-Star — Blackbaud Inc.;
- First-Year All-Star — Intouch Solutions;
- Non-Conformist— Charles Schwab;
- Change Leader — SunTrust;
- Optimization Expert — City of Raleigh; and,
- Partner of the Year — LeapPoint
