Policy Approvals

The following policy approvals require a public hearing to decide if the proposed new policy or amendment complies with state law and carries out the goals and policies of the City of Raleigh.

Annexations:

• Annexations and ETJ - Involuntary City Initiated
• Annexations and ETJ - Voluntary Citizen Petition
  

Master Plans - Planned Development District

Rezoning: This is the process for petitioning to amend the Official City Zoning Map by changing the zoning classification of a certain property.

Special Use Permits (City Council Approved)

Text Changes

Variances (Board of Adjustment Approved) - This is the process for making a land use exception to compensate for a deficiency that would prevent the property from complying with zoning regulations.
