Zoning Enforcement

Zoning Enforcement has responsibility for the following:

• Enforcement of the local zoning regulations that include signs, landscaping and other land uses
• Issuing of signs, home occupation use and fence permits
• Enforcement of zoning regulations propagated by City Council
• Political sign regulations
• Landscape Agreement
• Pushcart Vending
• Food Truck Vending
• Supportive Housing Residence Registration
• Temporary Event Permits
• Automobile Dealer Permits

In addition to these responsibilities, the Zoning Enforcement Administrator, is the city's representative for the Raleigh Board of Adjustment, which is responsible for hearing appeals for variances, special use permits (BOA) (City Council) and zoning code interpretations.
