How to Report Street, Streetlight, And Sidewalk Problems

The Public Works Department administers the maintenance of most public roadways and sidewalks within the Raleigh city limits. To report a problem or request repairs to streets, sidewalks, storm drains, street signs, traffic signals or street lights, please select the appropriate option below. Street Damage, Potholes, and Clogged Storm Drains

The Transportation Field Services Division provides maintenance for most streets and rights-of-way within the City limits.

Report damaged streets, potholes, clogged storm drains and other general street maintenance problems on City right of way at pothole@raleighnc.govEmail Address or by calling (919) 996-6446.

Damaged Sidewalks

Inspectors in the Transportation Field Services Division inspect damaged sidewalks and coordinate sidewalk repair requests.

Report damaged or broken sidewalks on City right of way by submitting a report using the Online Sidewalk Repair Form or by calling (919) 996-6446.

Damaged or Missing Street Signs

To report missing or damaged street signs along city right of way, contact the Transportation Operations Sign Shop:

Streetlight Outages

Streetlights on public right of way are maintained by local power utilities. To report an outage, please contact the utility that serves your area:
