Ralph Campbell Neighborhood Center Facility Upgrades

The Ralph Campbell Neighborhood Center Facility Upgrades project was a complete interior renovation including alterations to the room layouts; enhanced front entry and office areas; renovations to the restrooms including ADA improvements; new Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system, and improved networking and security systems.  Additional improvements included new lighting, ceilings, and flooring.  This project was completed in Spring 2020.

This project was one of three neighborhood center renovation projects funded by the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources Department (PRCR) 2014 bond referendum.

Construction

The Ralph Campbell Neighborhood Center Facility Updates' contract for construction has been approved by City Council.

The Ralph Campbell Neighborhood Center will be closed and undergoing interior renovation construction from October 2019 through Spring 2020. A portion of the Apollo Heights Park parking lot will be closed for construction-related activities, but the remainder of the parking lot, including accessible parking spaces, will continue to be available for public use. All other areas of Apollo Height Park will be fully open for public use including the playground, picnic shelter, and basketball court.

History

The neighborhood center was constructed in 1985.  The building is a fully staffed facility and used for programs, meetings, and rentals.
