Construction at North Hills Park

The City of Raleigh has been engaged with Google for the purposes of providing ultra-high speed internet opportunities to the residents of the city. Part of the engagement includes Google Fiber North Carolina, LLC leasing space at various city-owned properties across the City of Raleigh to accommodate communications facilities, commonly known as “fiber huts.” The first fiber hut will be constructed at North Hills Park on a small portion of land near the park entrance.

Construction is anticipated to start on September 8 and is estimated to last six weeks. We expect this project to have little impact to park operation and the neighborhood as Google prepares to provide new service to this neighborhood of Raleigh.

Park access will be ensured at all times during the construction period. For questions please contact Ken Hisler at 919-996-4823.
