Club Trip

The Adult Program serves over 6,500 adults in the Raleigh area. While some activities in the Adult Program do require a minimum age of 55 to participate, many are open to all adults regardless of age.

Some of the many activities offered include:

  • sports leagues such as tennis, golf, bowling and more
  • over 25, one-day and overnight trips each year including cruises and international travel
  • educational seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics
  • various exercise and wellness classes

The Adult Program staff organize numerous trips throughout the year. In addition to monthly one-day and seasonal multi-day trips, the Adult Program partners with the Adventure Program to offer S.O.A.R. (Senior Outdoor Adventure Recreation) trips.

Golden Years Clubs

Golden Years Clubs

There are also 48 Senior Clubs affiliated with the Adult Program. These clubs meet at area community centers, churches and senior housing facilities, and offer a range of activities such as bridge, speakers, community service projects and more. Clubs are comprised of persons aged 55 or better. For information on a specific club, contact the Club Leader indicated for each group.

Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources offers a variety of adult programs throughout the year. Exercise and wellness, new languages, dance and music, cards and games, sports and social activities are all available through the City. With such a variety, you are certain to find a class!

Raleigh Fun Golfers

Fun Golfers

Open to men and women age 55 and over. All experience and skill levels are welcome to join. Annual dues are $50.00 per year with a playing season running April through November. Monthly tournaments held at the end of each month. In addition to tournament awards, trips to other courses and a banquet, members play at reduced rates at Wil-Mar Golf Club Monday through Friday.
