Report Issues Using CleanScan

News posted Feb. 28, 2017 - 11:11 am

As part of the City of Raleigh’s ongoing effort to maintain the highest quality experience in our parks, the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department has started a new initiative using QR technology to communicate with park visitors on the condition of outdoor comfort stations from the convenience of their smartphones.

The initiative, called CleanScan, allows visitors to report any issues they may find with the condition of the comfort stations quickly and anonymously via the QR reader on their smartphone. Each comfort station has a CleanScan sign installed in both the men’s and women’s restrooms with a QR code unique to that park and directions on how to use it. Visitors, if they find an issue that needs to be addressed, can scan the QR code, select the issue they have found from a drop-down list, and hit Submit. An email notification will then be sent to City staff, who will be able to respond in an appropriate manner. There is also an optional field to provide an email address if the visitor would like a follow-up. For visitors that would prefer to report an issue directly, a phone number during business hours is provided on the CleanScan signage.
