The City of Raleigh’s Lake Johnson Park was pleased to host the first “Craft Happiness Clean-Up” event this past month. More than 120 volunteers assisted in cleaning more than 1200 pounds of trash and recyclables from the lake shore and park property. The event was conducted in partnership with Mims Distributing and Wake County Big Sweep. After two hours of paddling and walking about the park, volunteers returned to enjoy refreshments, lunch, music, and prize raffles all made possible by event partners Mims Distributing and Foothills Brewing of Winston-Salem.
