Park staff have seen an increasing number of patrons wanting to enjoy the Park by hammock. These sites will now permit patrons to enjoy this increasingly popular pastime, while protecting the Park vegetation, the valuable lakeshore habitat and better ensure users safety. The approved hammock sites are a pilot program with the City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department. The sites can be found between Shelters 1 and 2.
